Johan Camargo playing time
Home-grown Panamanian prospect Johan Camargo, who looked good for ’19 after a .295/.353/.491 ten-homer effort in the second half of ’18, found himself squeezed for playing time on the pre-spring depth chart. With 22-year-old Ozzie Albies at second, newly-arrived veteran star free agent Josh Donaldson at third, and with the shortstop job essentially assigned to the trade-acquired first-round future star Dansby Swanson (proceeds of the Shelby Miller deal with Arizona in which the Braves also acquired Ender Inciarte, overall looking quite favorable for the Choppers now), where would Camargo play? The first answer to present itself was: nowhere with any regularity. Still, it’s a long season.
